about

Originally released in 2017, the EP Subterranean Ether is Luke A. Simpson's first professional musical effort, the one and only product sent out into the world using the now retired name Luke the Lone. It is an eclectic collection of pieces which when put together form a sort of loosely realized miniature symphony.

It varies from orchestral to electronic to progressive rock. If the listener finds they do not enjoy one track, they would be well advised to try another. They are all very different.

To put it another way, if Luke A. Simpson were a brewery, then this EP would be like ordering a flight of four different types of beers from across the menu. So if you like beer as much as Luke does then you could do worse then to enjoy a sampling of Subterranean Ether.

Shortly thereafter he hit his head and forgot about it, spending a decade working as a software engineer.

He fortuitously hit his head again in 2017 and—his memory returned—is making music now.
